Due to the inclement weather I stayed at the Port Lincoln YHA hostel last night, and I have to say it might be the best in the country. Great facilities, and spotlessly clean too ! Perhaps the town is n’t for the younger party animals, but if it is adventure you want how about cage diving with sharks ? or for something a bit tamer you could go swimming with giant tuna ?

Over the years I’ve stayed in some good hostels, and some not so good ones, this is certainly up with the best. So if anybody is travelling across the country, may I suggest you make a slight detour via Pt Lincoln and stay here, rather than grotty but expensive highway motels. You don’t have to be a YHA member to stay there, but it is slightly cheaper for members.
