Do you remember diskettes? Or were they before your time ?
The other day I went window shopping for a new laptop at Pantip Plaza, which is Bangkok’s mecca for all things digital and electronic .. to say nothing of the pirated software and movies which officially do not exist there 🙂
I did manage to find a possible replacement laptop, my present one is showing it’s age and lack of RAM when I am using Photoshop or Premiere Pro to edit photos and videos. No great hurry though, so I’ll think about it for a while.
Among all the other goodies and junk at Pantip Plaza I spotted these boxes of diskettes in a shop window, surely they must be left over stock from the computer dinosaur age ?
The massive (for then) 1.44MB capacity will not do much nowadays ! When was the last time you saw a computer with a diskette drive ? 10 years ago ?
