Time to catch up ! I’m at Kalbarri now, but first a few pics and words from a few days ago :
The “Super Pit” .. an awfully big hole in the ground
Each truckload of material from the Superpit produces around $10,000 of gold, and every truck costs $4 million, plus tyres and other running costs.
One of the old pubs that line the streets of Kalgoorlie
One of the many hazards of driving on the Goldfields …”wide loads” like this !
After Kalgoorlie it was time to head north and chase the sun and warmth, so more to come soon when I have a decent web connection !.
A recently retired "Baby Boomer" , looking forward to having more time for my photography and travel.
