Wat Sothon, Chachoengsao

The other week a couple of friends of mine went to “tham buun” (make merit) at Wat Sothon, in a town called Chachoengsao about 90 minutes drive from Bangkok, and asked if I wanted to come along for the ride …what they actually meant was for me to drive LOL. I had n’t driven in 9 months since leaving Australia, and they wanted me to drive in Bangkok traffic ? Better get one of those “good luck” jasmine garlands girls ! With a bit of help from the lucky garland, and a carload of alms for the monks, candles and flowers , we got there without incident. Anyway, while they were doing their Buddhist stuff I went for a wander around taking photos, including this one :
